We don't 'feast' on Christmas in my house -- we do it on Christmas Eve, fire for ambiance and all. Our little feast isn't very tradtional (I don't think anyway). We create a "cold plate" out of our favorite Hickory Farm like stuff. We munch and play games. The evening epidemizes Christmas in that everything has been readied for the next day. There's a moment (for me anyway) of peaceful relaxation, just to take a breath and enjoy the season. As a mom, I run around quite a bit leading up to that point, and will be up running the house on Christmas as well. I love the scurry too, because it also creates that relished moment of peace.
