All I know to say about this piece in The Economist (click here) is…. Wow!
Not that I should be surprised, this is nothing new for those in the high profile publications looking to write another poorly informed story on Futurists. But this brings me to ask two questions:
1. Is research out of vogue?
2. Why do so many of these type of articles keep surfacing if the field of foresight is supposedly so irrelevant?
Well, I don’t really care to focus on the negative very much, but I couldn’t pass up the chance to direct you to two great responses to this article by two wonderful Futurists, Michele Bowman and Jamais Cascio.
