They Love Me @ Panera Bread… Or Do They?
I have spent the better part of this past week at Panera Bread working on final projects for “Systems Thinking” and “Strategic Planning and Change Management” for the Spring 07 semester. Now it’s time for a break!
Next up is the Summer 07 semester, in which I will be taking “Organizational Futures” and “Professional Futures.” (Only 3 more semesters until graduation!)
The employees at Panera know me by name now, but they have been giving me funny looks due to my coming in around 3 or 4pm and staying until closing almost everyday! Oh well, I made sure that I never took up big tables or got in anybody’s way.
Hopefully, the blogging will be a little more consistent now – at least for awhile! There’s a bunch to talk about in the way of nanotech, transhumanism, the World Futures Society conference in July, etc. I’ve also got a few comments as concerns Complex Adaptive Systems and decentralization. A brief thought: I agree that simplicity gives birth to complexity, but complexity can lead to complexity as well. Hope that made a little sense, even if it is open to literary interpretation. If not, I’ll be sure to blog on the topic in a few days.
